Spring Cleaning!

So I went home this weekend, as it was my dad's 50th birthday, and part of my present to him was to swap the stock wheels and tires back on for the summer, I also gave it a thorough washing (including undercarriage while it was on the lift) and an interior vacuum and detailing. That was Saturday afternoon.

Sunday morning I washed and cleaned my car, including a thorough power-ball polish of the wheels, which were nasty, and still need a little work. We then had lunch at my Grandparent's place, as my Great Uncle and Aunt were up from Texas, as it was his 50th class reunion(you can see the back of their Rendezvous in one pic), and I decided to get a few pictures in front of the fuel barrel, which is mounted under an old Texaco truck bed in his tree. It's rare that both cars are clean at the same time, so I jumped on the opportunity, lol. (No chastizing about being in the yard, everywhere else is muddy, lol) Enjoy!

Nice pics.

I love how you recycled a Texaco fuel truck tank as a bulk tank and the using the fender well area to shelter another bulk tank.

Yes very nice. I'm debating if I should put summer tires on this weekend. They are only rated for 40 degrees plus, but I don't think it will be long before we don't dip that low at night.

Yeah I didn't put tire shine on the GXP, I knew they were just gonna pick up dirt and look like crap again in a few days.

We actually haven't used the truck for a tank in years, I think it started leaking or something, so now it's just there, lol.

They look good Ed. Planning on a full detail for the '01 on Saturday too, and she needs it terribly.

I thought I saw in another thread someone wanting to see the difference in the "cleared" out cornering lights... Those pics clearly show the difference...

I don't know why people called your car's color girly. It looks really good. I actually like it better than silver. Especially clean. :)
