This reminds me of the model cars that I colored with sharpies when I was 11 out of boredom, and now regret it....

You only regret it Ed because you failed at creativity and wrecked your models.
This is totally reversible in about 10 seconds........but will last until after WCBF11.

Oh you need a hobby...
Preferably one that doesn't involve a Pep Boy's/Autozone (canadian tire for you guys

) mindset when you think "HRMMM what could I fit on this open space on my vehicle".

I put vinyl tape on my hood when I got my car to moch up possible stripes, it was only on my car for half an hour an most, the invisible marks it left behind stayed on the hood till I painted it a few years later.
by invisible I mean you could only see then when there was dew like water on the hood and sometimes in light dust and when you wiped the panel after a wash...

I wonder what kind of tape you used.
I haven't had that problem.
A good wax job will remove any glue residue and with a good wax coating should not mark the paint finish.
The tape is good up to 180F
The magnetic vinyl signs I have on my Jeep for my business have been on and off for the last three years and the only time they can close to leaving marks was once when I left them on wet underneath without drying them first. It waxed out too.
The vinyl stripes and decals have been on my Firebird for over 30 years.
We have a very different climate here in the West than in TO.
I put on two black stripes today.
My prediction this year is 13.2 @ 105 mph ....

Yeah it looks kind of stupid, but who cares, its just tape and he can take it off whenever he wants (as long as the after effects that bill warned about are avoided) without problem. Easy and simple way to change the look of a car he's had for what 11 years now. Better than a lot of other stuff I've seen (although those wiper wings do look silly)

Ouch....stupid and silly used in the same paragraph......
That's what I get for keeping this Pontiac so long and refusing to buy a new car.
Disrespect and insults.

I'm sorry Paul, but when you start de-facing your own car with tape, you start losing respect. These cars don't need gaudy graphics and paint to look great. This tape is cheapening it up, IMO.

Didn't mean it to be an insult. It's not my cup of tea, but I definitely can't blame you for wanting to change up the look of your car after owning it for ten years. Like I said, its an easy, cheap and clean way to add some excitement to a car (although I still hold the wiper wing things do look silly).

Each to his own, thats what I say. Thats probably the best way to put it in order to avoid insulting anyone, even if you don't like or agree with it.
Its loud, but Paul's proud!
