Tires I have the stock 5 spoke rims off a 97 bonneville i plan on putting them on my 94 but the clear on the rims is kinda messed up and dirty whats the best way to clean them or sand them for paint them back to sliver, whats a good tire to put on there, thanks

these are the tires i had in mind i just want somthing that looks good and is going to be good on mileage

Personally I would have them sandblasted and painted unless u really want to spend the time with 120 or 140 grit sand paper and for tires Im running BF Goodrich traction T/As P225/55R16 I found no difference in mileage and the ride quality is decent, they are a pretty good looking tire but if you are looking for somthing sporty looking not nessesarily the tire for you.

I had some General Exclaim UHP's on a much smaller car. Great tire, mounds of grip, no change in mileage, and my old car couldn't even come close to exceeding the level of grip they offered in dry or wet. They were a bit scary in the cold, though.

On the LeSabre I have Pirelli P4 Four Seasons. They're a touring tire with a decent amount of grip and a fantastic ride now that they're broken in. Not high performance summer, though they're a very competent tire. A bit noisy, but that's a small tradeoff to pay for their overall competence. Not to mention you can find them on Ebay for around $300 shipped when they're on sale.

This is not advise, but I guess you noticed the UTQG is only 160 for treadwear. So, if you put on a lot of miles, you may have to replace much, much sooner than, for instance, some of the ones with a 320 rating. Tires on my "other car" have a 600 rating, but I am more concerned with tread life. Your tire obviously is softer rubber for performance and maybe that's what you want. Just pointing it out, that's all. Good luck in your choice.

well i dont have a a lot of money for tires im lookin at 300 to 350 bucks im just lookin to put tires on and maybe sell my car.

id go with the Traction T/As prolly in your price range..
