I'm in the process of messing with that cam interrupter replacement so it'll run again and while using the mirror, I noticed the water pump leaking from its weap hole.

Is this just as simple as it looks, undo all the bolts that are in plain sight and pop it off?

Pretty much. Later years have a motor mount and an accessory bracket (L67's) in the way. 87-91 are pretty free and clear, IIRC.
