So as i suspected, my ac pump is giving me some problems, the pulley seized up on it. I had a metallic chinging noise for awhile, and it got louder and louder, and now this. Lol, and I just started classes so it figures, so now the question is do I have to replace the whole pump or can I just replace the pulley?

Sounds like the whole thing seized up. You're going to have to replace the whole thing.
You could install a delete pulley for now until you can get a new compressor and get it installed and the whole thing re-charged with a new orifice tube and dryer.

Sounds like just the clutch is bad. You could rent a pulley and install a new clutch, but its probably cheaper and easier just to buy a used compressor for $50.

Sounds like ill just get the used compressor for now, then near summer time, if it is a must to get the ac working, Ill prob do what you suggested 00Beast. The only bummer is I have no choice but to take it to a shop, I dont know anyone out here with their own garage yet.

DORMAN Part # 34196 $26.79
That's your A/C delete pulley, available from any auto parts store. Just gotta have the refridgerant (if there is any left) sucked out of the system and remove the compressor.

I had a similar situation - pulley went out. Question I have is - it has a locking nut and I have been everywhere to find this nut. We used the old one but I am concerned that it will need to be replaced eventually. I believe it is a 13mm locking nut- Auto Zone has no part number for it. Any ideas??
Believe it or not, I have been using my AC for several weeks.
