My friend has them on his Harley truck and drives it in the winter. They seem nice when I drove in not to long ago. I think that this a private label for discount tire similar to mastercrafts or vanderbilts.

Actually, Falken is its own brand sold through many different outlets.
They are good tires. Had a set on my Seville STS and put TONS of miles on them drive testing for cell phone companies then had a set of all terrain Falkens on my Jeep after the Caddie died to a deer.
I would rank them in the top tier of manufacturers and their ZE and ZX series tires are beasts.

Falken is pretty a pretty decent company. They have a few models such as the Ziex ZE-912 that are a good performance all-season with decent road manners for a decent price. Some of their summer rubber is good also. From what I have seen, treadwear seems to be a bit of a weaker point, but not terribly so.
Cliffs notes: If you don't want to pay the high prices for max performance, Falken offers you most of it for a fraction of the price.

They're okay. The 912's are better than the 512's for treadwear, I've heard.
Don't forget ordering online and a local install.

912s (I run them on the SS) only lasted me a year...but I put on about 30k this past year on it, so considering that, they're not bad. They stick like monkey snot around corners, the sidewalls are fairly stiff, and the ride quality is pretty good. It's an overall decent tire, but do keep up on rotations.

I'm going on 55-60k miles with the Pirelli P4's on the Buick. Well, they're off for the winter, so that helps. Still a lot of tread left.

A friend of mine swapped Falkens onto his Trans Am in place of the Goodyears and he easily got twice the mileage. Granted the Goodyears were a soft compound tire but for a street car the Falkens were a better choice. I'd have no problem with buying them for my car if the price is right.

Had them on my Miata (which wasn't exactly stock) and LOVED them. Had the Ziex 912's and can't say enough good things about them. Great traction, good ride quality and the car cornered like it was on rails with these tires. Good price too. If the PO hadn't just put a new set of Pirelli's on the Bonneville before he traded it, I'd put Falkens on it.

What i've run into as well. Good tires for the most part, especially the common ZIEX ones, good prices, just not 100% of some of the top dogs.
