I have a 2001 SLE and my manual says the seat memory and the air compressor in the trunk are optional..... how hard would it be to find one, install it, and how much do you think? also.. would they work correctly or is my car not made to handle these, since they are not there from factory?

Memory seats would require new seats, the buttons, and a TON of new wiring, all the way into the main body harness. Not happening
The air line in the trunk is easier, but not easy by any means. You'd have to get the trunk trim, the air lines, the switch and then wire it up to the compressor, through the RIM I think.
Sounds like you should have bought an SSEi from the start.

The manual is for all Bonnevilles. You had to buy the SSEi package to get the memory seats, air line, etc.
