hi all as i said another aussie
i joined this site mainly for information and to find people with experience with 3800s and m62 eatons ,i am currently building a street and strip car in australia it is called a holden gemini (not sure what they where called in the states) .The engine i have fitted is a 92 3800 which in aust in known as a series 2 i have fitted a m62 eaton,1.9 ratio roller rockers, yellow terra heads but have left the rest stock at the moment.I hope to get about 2 hundred kw out of this setup ,it has a 4L60E box which has a stage 3 B&M shiftkit and corvette servos but no upgraded stall convertor yet the car weighs 880 kg and is rear wheel drive it origanelly had a 1.6 litre 4 banger in it
If anyone has any ideas which could be of help in this build would be greatly appreciated
cheers paul
(i will try to post some photos as the build progresses)

Welcome!

We here in the US didn't get anything RWD with the Series 1 (Your Series 2), and only the Camaro/Firebirds from mid 1995-up got the Series 2 (your Ecotech), so we won't be able to help you out too much except with *some* parts interchangeability (like the aluminum valve covers from the Camaro/Firebird V6s will replace any of your Series 2 covers if they are the fiberglass covers)...but we're always happy to see pics from you guys! (Especially the women  )

Edit: What part of Austrailia? I had a female pen pal who lived in Adelaide....

Welcome! Since it sounds like you'll be tuning anyway, the 94-95 M62 is an upgrade (epoxy coated rotors for for cooler boosting) of the 92-93 generation, and matches a larger throttle body. Does your TB go straight out the back or does it turn?

g'day, that combo in a gemini would be serious.

I used to like the Country Dealer Team Geminis back in the day, just couldn't afford one.
