The motor you are putting in has higher compression and weaker internals. It will be ill suited to running well or long term.

If you do it, you'll have to swap the heads for the injector bosses, LIM, SC, throttle body, fuel rail with parts. Then you'd have to have a custom tune done, and probably install a larger SC pulley to lower the boost so it doesn't grenade because of the higher compression.

If you don't put the supercharger on, you'll have to do a different custom tune, as well as remove some trouble codes for the supercharger specific sensors. Or put in an NA PCM and probably some wiring harness changes.

IMO, get a supercharged engine and save yourself a whole lot of time and headache.

If you currently have a supercharged engine you had better get a supercharged engine. You'll have tons of issues if you don't....

No. You are going to want to get a supercharged engine.

No, it's not OK. Find the right engine either in a junkyard or for sale on craigslist, etc. Where are you located? You can either use the Series II Supercharged from a Grand Prix GTP, Park Avenue Ultra, Buick Riviera Supercharged, Bonneville SSEi and 04-05 Impala and Monte Carlo SS Supercharged or the Series III supercharged from an 04+ Grand Prix GTP or 05+ Grand Prix GT Supercharged.

No. You would have to swap the entire harness, and you'd be going backwards.

You can swap all the necessary parts, but it is a lot of hassle. Getting a supercharged engine will be much less of a pain.

If you really have to use the NA engine, we can get you there, but it'll take some time to get it all right.

Find a supercharged engine and find another car to use that L36 in. It's not worth the hassle to try to swap in the N/A motor into the supercharged car.

There is a lot more difference between the 2 engines than just throwing a supercharger on top.

Listen to these guys, do not put a NA into your SSEi.
