Does deleting resonators increases HP or purely for sound?

It will have no positive effect on power, and it will have a negative effect on the sound, making the exhaust rasp and pop.

What mufflers are you looking to put onto the car? This is where the noticable difference in HP and sound comes into play.

Mufflers have zero impact on HP for our cars until you get well into the 300hp range. Nothing behind the Cat has any bearing.

It's all for sound at any point near stock.

Unless the factory exhaust has been replaced. Aftermarket stock replacement mufflers (especially cheap aluminized crap) in my experience flow like crap. They are only designed to limit sound.

Not to mention they don't last long at all... It's a miracle my "lifetime warranty" muffler has made it through two winters.
