Im thinking about changing out the spark plugs and wires on my 98 SE, will there be any real change in throttle response and MPG and would it be worth it?

We can't really tell you. It depends on the age, condition, and type you're running now.

Can you give us more details?

It depends. More than likely you'll notice a change in throttle response. I did, BUT that was changing out 8 year old stuff. MPG might've gone up a little bit.

Like willwren says, it depends.

Now whether it's a good idea to put new ones in there, of course it's a good idea if you don't know their history, or it's been a few years.

Right now the Bonnie has got 75,000 miles on it and the plugs and wires are probably stock. as far as what kind to put in i really have no clue ive just been doin some research and checkin what would be best. Any suggestions on what to get? and does changing the plugs and wires affect anything else that would have to be changed?

Plugs and wires are simple and straightforward. I would recommend NGK TR55 plugs and Beldin Premium Wires from NAPA. You don't need to change anything else. A dab of anti-seize compound on the threads of the plugs and some of the (generally supplied) di-electric grease in each of the boots on the wires will help them come off easier next time. I guarantee new plugs and wires will make a difference in your car, how much, I can't say.

If napa wants too much, my car is using Autolite wires from Advance. $30 and lifetime warranty. They take your phone number for lookup later.
