This one found its way into my garage tonight. Hit on the drivers door/b-pillar...car is totalled, but purrs like a kitten. Scooped it up for $1200, has 130k.
So ya, this makes it 5 Bonnevilles in the driveway... Shannon is just thrilled

I have every part to fix it from the other black SSEi I have now, but with how much work would be involved in fixing it, its just not worth it.

Is the other black one already stripped down?
Why couldn't you toss the drivetrain into the other one?

Not stripped down, but the engine is out and trans is already sold.
I could toss the drivetrain into the tan one, but by using the shortblock I have, and building it up, I will have another complete engine I can sell for around $800.

How much for the sun roof glass? mine was damaged during the shody repaint on my car, but no way to prove it was the body shop.

You already know I'm looking for the quarter area around the gas cap. Let me know if you run across anything.

Glad to see those side impact airbags doing their job.

Not sure if you are kidding, but the bags never deployed. I am very surprised since the majority of the hit was directly to the sensor. The door panel is in the trunk.

There are very specific criteria that make the sensors set the bag(s) off. Friend of mine hit a deer at 80 in her 04 GP and since she didn't hit the brakes, it didn't set the airbag. The sensor was tripped, but it wasn't enough force to make it go off w/o her hitting the brakes, which if the bag had gone off it would've totalled the car out.

Yeah, i was being sarcastic. Seems odd that a serious wack to the door wouldnt set off the side impact airbags.

I don't think the same rules would apply to side airbags. They're designed specifically for being blindsided (when you probably wouldn't have time to hit the brakes. You might not even see it coming.)

What I am saying is that for whatever reason the bag didn't deploy, and it was probably simply because it was un-needed, and the computer analyzed that in the blink of an eye. I was just giving an example.

Yeah, looking at the impact it's not actually that bad. The roof and rocker panels seem fine.
