What tool do you use to remove the top caliper bolt, on a 2000 bonneville, ssei. The bottom caliper bolt was removed using a 12mm wrench.

You referring to the rear? From what I can remember you swing it up and pull it off. Check the Techinfo thread.

If you are referring to a front caliper, both bolts require the same 12mm socket or wrench (I use a ratchet and socket myself). If you have difficulty reaching the bolt, try turning your steering wheel so that the wheel front turns outward. As 00Beast mentioned above, it is not necessary to remove the other caliper bolt if you are only intending to get in there to replace brake pads. Instead, you can loosen the bolt a little, and then swing the caliper up and out of the way for pad access. You might have to jiggle the caliper around a bit to get it off of the old pads.
If you are asking for some other reason; there is no special tool required to get the bolt out once it has been loosened. Just pull slowly and firmly with your fingers, and wiggle it out.
Note that you might want to devise some sort of hanger upon which to hang the caliper after removal, so that its weight doesnt' yank on the rubber brake hose and potentially cause a brake fluid leak. I use a coat hanger myself, bending the bulk of it around the front shock spring coil and making a holding hook out of the end of it. A short bungee cord would also work (probably easier as well).
I believe the caliper bracket bolts also require the same 12mm socket.
More could be said, but since we do not know what you are trying to do I will avoid speculation.

Ken, you obviously haven't done the rears. There is only one "Bolt" the other is a pin that you have to slide the caliper off of.
Here is the thread:

Nope -- have not looked at rears yet.
I guess his question makes more sense now...
