I have a 2000 ssei I recently replaced the rack and pinion power steering pump outter tie rods and pass front hub assembly. Now I have a issue when turning right the low trac light comes on. I haven't got an alignment yet so was wondering if that may be the problem.

Probably some bad wiring leading to the wheel speed sensors. Check for corrosion and broken wires.

Definitely not in the alignment. It's either a wiring issue or a sensor issue.

It was doing it before the hub was changed. Could it be something in the rack.Does the new rack need some type of calibration?

No. Low traction is determined by comparing the front wheel speeds vs. the rear wheel speeds. If it sees the front wheels are going 80 MPH and the rears are going 5 MPH (Burnout, spinning on ice, etc.) it triggers a low trac light. That has nothing to do with anything in the steering system. I'm guessing it's either bad wiring to the hub or a bad sensor in the hub. Now to find which hub is the trick. If you have a multi-meter you can check the resistance in the circuit to each. You can also measure the resistance of the hubs.

I understand what you are saying, I guess what I'm getting at is it seems like when turning hard there's like a noise that sounds like axle shaft but that's new, then the light comes on and the steering wheel doesn't return if I let go it stays turned. The rack is a rebuilt one so that concerns me and the fact that this wasn't an issue before I just had hard steering to the left that's why rack was replaced.

ISSUE FIXED!!! Thanks for all the advice, the final result was the rack and pinion was bad. Replaced it with another one and all is good.
