Meet Christine ll. 1994 SSEi Grey with grey interior.
I finally got the deal I've been waiting for. A friend of a friend told me about this car so yesterday I went to see her. Well, according to the invoices the owner has replaced or had rebuilt all the major concerns. Due to a coolant leak the intake manifold gaskets were replaced last month. New supercharger and harmonic balancer last year. Many thousands of $$$ spent in the last few years keeping this car in top shape.
The only things I can find wrong are minor. AC needs to be recharged, was tested for leaks but the shop could not contact owner for permission to charge it up. He was pissed about that. Appears that plug wires are original. That will be recified soon. One of the trunk lid springs is broken, that soon will be fixed I hope.
The old guy I bought it from is the second owner, the first owner died 6 months after buying the car. He told me he paid $27,000 for it in 1994. He sold it to me for $1,ooo. Reason he gave me for selling is that his back don't like bending that far down to get in and out of the car. OK, sounds reasonable he is 86 years old.
Tomorrow will be spent washing and waxing her before I take some better pictures. Then I get to swap out some of the parts I've been keeping on ice.

That's great! I'm not a huge fan of silver, but there is something about that color there that I like. Looking forward to more pictures!

How many kilomonemenemenemeters on the clock?
192,000 km or for the metricly challenged, 119,300 miles
Quite an adventure getting to the car to pick it up. For the first time in over 30 years I used my thumb to hitch hike from my place to Victoria (Approx 75 miles). 6 rides and 4 hours later, I got there. I have a new appreciation for hitch hikers. I picked one up on the way home as sort of partial payback.

Welcome back John. Wow that's low kilometerage! Nice that's my favourite colour! You have to call it a different name though.

One of the trunk lid springs is broken, that soon will be fixed I hope.
I have a spring that I could trade for a case of beer. It's green though.

I'm sure nobody would see the colour when it's installed.
How about I bring the car to you and after you install the spring, you could detail the engine compartment for me?

John, you raped that old man. $1,000 for a car that's worth a lot more in the shape it's in......just because he couldn't hold the trunk open anymore.
Leave me that car for a week and I'll have it detailed to perfection.......for a price. Wanna get raped back?

Just going through service invoices that came with the car. Here's a list of major parts replaced/repaired in the last 2 years.
Intake manifold gaskets
Throttle body (cleaned)
Front brake pads and rotors
Harmonic balancer
trunk release actuator
Water pump
Both belts
Water jacket plugs
Master cylinder
Super charger and tensioner
Heater control module
Battery
Wiper control switch
Tires
Since an older guy was driving it I figured a seafoam treatment was in order. Did that today after washing and waxing it. Much quicker acceleration now.
I also altered the airbox a little and installed my K&N filter and cleared corners. As soon as car cools down I will replace spark plugs and wires. 180 t'stat will be done shortly along with tinted tails and of course the rockers.
