Liquid Glass - where do you get it?

I am a faithful LG user, but haven't been able to find any lately. I've been looking for the last few weeks but no one in my area (south central MN) seems to carry it. the last place i bought it was at the NAPA store in St. Cloud, but that's a 3 hour drive for me, and completely out of my way now that i've graduated. where do you guys (the ones that use LG) get yours, and how much do you spend? i don't want to spend $28 on a 16oz can of it online, but that seems to be the only way. last time i bought it, i got the 16oz can for something like $14-16. i would love to pay that again (or cheaper, if at all possible). any help/input would be much appreciated! thanks!

I get mine at Mills Fleet Farm, but I don't think there's one of those near you either.

i've talked to a few auto parts stores. apparently it's not in high enough demand for any company (NAPA, o'reillys) to carry it throughout their stores. i have been told its usually the store owners decision to buy it by the case or not. since it works so well, and you can get 3-4 uses per can, i assume people who use it on 1 of their cars need to buy a new can every 1.5-2 years.... so i'm not surprised the demand is low, as the can i just finished has lasted me almost 2 years, and i even put a few coats on at a time.

bonnevillain: i checked at the NAPA, Walmart, and Fleet & Farm in my hometown, and no one had it. I have also checked a few stores in Rochester, MN (where i am right now) and they don't carry it. I think tomorrow i'm going to make a list and hit up places on the way home. maybe some small town shop on I-90 may carry it..... :dontknow:

I've got a bottle of LG I used once. I wasn't thrilled with it, it could just be the way I had applied it but I've just never gone back to it. If you want it, I could send it to ya.

I had a hard time finding it when I was looking, but I picked mine up at Napa (Only one of the three in town carry it), and I've seen Autozone carry it as well.

I'm more satisfied with Mequairs NXT.
I've used LG, but wasn't very impressed with it.
I've been happier with Mequiars Professional #16 Paste Wax, but it's been discontinued, and I like Mothers FX, but it doesn't retain the luster very long, but the water beading is still persisting on my black GTP 2 months later.
I also used FX on the MB CLS500 and the Viper.
I used the Mequairs NXT on the Bentley and was thoroughly impressed, but I started with a claybar, followed it with 2 coats of Race Glaze polish, then finished it up with 1 coat of NXT before it got dark.

I like LG for it's long lasting protection. The best gloss it most assuredly is not...but for the waxing lazy it gives you water beading more than six months past the initial application...that's good and durable for me.

whitearrow: sure! that would be great! more to get it off your hands than to get it for me... what size bottle is it? (usually 16oz or 8oz are the more common amounts). PM me...

00Beast: i just might have to take a trip up to New Ulm sometime before i leave for St. Louis...

olblueeyesbonne: your imaginary garage is looking pretty good lately... when did you get the 'Vette?

LeSabreUltra: agreed. i haven't tried others, but i like the system they have (pre-cleaner, wash concentrate) cuz it works really well. i may have to try something else if i can't get LG in STL, but for now, it's my main product.

Look for Meguiars Professional #20 or 21, newer sealants, and will last just as long.

And that's not his garage, and there's no vette? :bluetwitch:
