Where is the blower control module on 2001 Park Avenue?

OK, I admit I'm not all that observant about cars, so my failure to notice this at first may seem stupid.
My wife's 2001 Park Avenue with split Driver/passenger ECC started failing intermittently to turn on the blower recently. And now it's more off than on, so the AC isn't working.
On both my '94 Sedan DeVille and my '95 SSE this was the blower control module, and it's under the hood down behind the MaxiPanel on the firewall.
I thought I'd have an easy time on the Park Avenue, expecting it to be in the same place. But it's clearly *NOT* the same.
First, on this model am I correct that it's probably the blower control module?
And second, looking under that dash it seems like there's a whole lot to pull out to get to the HVAC. What am I missing here? Is there some panel under the hood that I failed to see, and this is really similar to the mid '90s vehicles? Or do I have to tear out all that stuff under the dash to get to it?
Thanks,
Michael
