When u start up the car it is automatically on so all u have to do is push the traction control button to turn it off. If the orange light is not on u know it's off. And if the orange light on the traction control button never comes on... U have a problem

We need more specifics. Traction control also has torque management in the PCM even if the switched is pressed. For what purpose are you trying to do this?

4 some odd reason mine doesnt have a button- iassume it because it's just a basic SE ! and i want it off cuz when i punch it off the line it kicks in and kinda stutters..... i no it's not the tranny cuz its consistant (does it every time 4 the same length of time) and the trannt shifts perfectly just like it should

The button for your traction control may be on the end of the shifter of turn signal knob.
