dayco poly cog serp belt

i wanna buy a dayco poly cog serp belt for my 2003 sle. i cannot find anywhere. does anybody know where i can find one?

I've had one of those. It didn't last near as long as Gatorbacks seem to.

I agree. I have a pair on my car, and they seem kinda crappy. My local Advance stocks them. Get either a Gates or a Gatorback.

ok i see amazon has them thats good. what is the part number for the 2003 sle n/a? and is a 2005 sle n/a the same? my dad needs one too.

That's the worst belt I ever ran on my cars. Both belts on my 95 were that, and the writing was still visible when I bought the car, so they were fairly new. One failed and the other was splitting in just over a year.

Get a gatorback.

I used one when I had my Taurus, it was falling apart after only 6 months

I still have the original belt on my 00 SE after 145,000 miles, should I replace it?

Yes. New belts don't show wear by cracking, they just get worn out, and the grooves can't grip the pulleys, and cause issues. It takes 30 minutes, and $30 for peace of mind that your car will keep on keeping on.

Most of it is spent trying to figure out the *dang* routing because even after the 10th time you still don't have a diagram of the belt path
