rip off - anti freeze near intake manifold = new gasket??

I just pealed off $$350 to replace this gasket because the mechanic found anti-freese on it. I now suspect a hose below the throttle body may have been leaking. I will watch the coolant levels to see if it gets low.

Anyone have a similar experience??

Can you post a picture of which hose you believe is leaking coolant? The only hose in that area that carries coolant that I can think of is the hose from the radiator to the thermostat housing. There's a cover on the lower intake manifold that is sort of hidden behind the crossover pipe that also carries coolant.

By the cost, it would seem that the gasket between the LIM and supercharger was what was replaced. If so, as it was 90% done, the LIM gasket should have been replaced, too.

And if your mechanic did the LIM, he SHOULD have replaced that cover plate gasket too, as it is known to leak.

I will get some shots this weekend - it is still leaking something on the driveway after valve cover gaskets and LIM gaskets .

I am obsessed if it is not 100 percent...
