Looks like a T-Rex came forward in time and chomped on the back right side of the car...

That is a crazy accident! I have never seen a door skin ripped off so cleanly like that!
Rear steer anyone?
At least the drivetrain survived!

I drove that car once in Canada! Noooooo!
That car got rocked though! Luckily it was somewhat limited to the rear and not a huge danger to the occupants..

Wow, the sheer amount of carnage is insane. It is comforting though to know that it gave itself to protect the driver. It is a shame to see it go, even in a blaze of glory.

It could have been worse, I suppose.

Actually, I like this picture the best:
It is a testament to the safety of these cars. When you have damage like that, with an owner looking sad and pitiful, but not horribly injured, that is the best picture to come out of this whole thing. I hope the Park Avenue does the same thing if the time comes.

Guess we all get to move up a spot..or two..in the 25 quickest Bonnevilles list.

Dead ones don't count.

The damage is totally a cause of WHERE it was hit, not how safe or unsafe the car is. .

Ah, now that you pointed that out, I re-read the accident circumstances.
Seems that the Mercedes was in the right lane trying to get in front of the Bonne who was in the left lane because his lane ended with a parked car.
The Bonne proved to be too fast for him so instead of slamming on his brakes, he chose to cut left right into the hind quarters of the Bonne pushing it out of control. Actually doesn't look like much damage besides some sheet metal, bumper and suspension work.......but ya, it's a write off.
