so i just pulled the srark plugs off my front 3 cylinders just out of curiosity to try and get an idea of when the last tuneup was..

to my suprise the spark plugs ( all 3 ) were so loose i could finger them out with my hand.. no socket needed..

once i got them out i was looking at the tips and they look like they are a light grey color like ashes.

and plus they were gapped wrong as well.. all of them.. the correct gap is .060 and they were gapped all the same at .050

does the grey smoked colored tips mean its time for a tune up or what does it mean if anything..?

and also could them being gapped wrong have alot to do with the car running rough and being jumpy. jumpy meaning make the motor shake or vibrate..?

and could these plugs being loose and gapped wrong have anything to do with the check engine light coming on..? i doubt it but just curious... thanks

The color you're looking for on a plug is a light tan/gray. As long as they're not bone white or black, you're probably ok. It could have an effect, by causing misfires or other goofy things. I have a feeling your back plugs are going to be the same way, loose and im-properly gapped.

You could replace the plugs if you desire. But it sounds like the ones you have are good.
Check the plugs in the back. If they look good, just re-gap and re-install them. Be sure to tighten them to the torque spec.
