It was a great little Meet!
They arrived doing 120 mph and toured around town at slightly less speed.
Bruce and Andrea posing next to the Bullet.
Three Meet Shirts WCBF09.
Dinner at the ShingleMill Pub on Powell River.
Birthday cake back at my house. Two Bonne's , a Jeep and one other Pontiac in attendance.
It has been hot all week!!

Thanks again Paul for the tour and short bursts of whine.
I met up Bruce and Andrea at the Boundary Bay airport a little after 3, after some short introductions cruised over close to Nanaimo and as per request detoured to Gibson's so Bruce could see where that old TV show, "Beach Combers" was filmed. From there right up the coast to Powell River, passing some of the best scenery in the world. Scenery I might add, that Paul and I take for granted until we have guests from the other side of Canada pointing it out to us.
After touring Powell River in the Silverbullet, dinner at the Shingle Mill, and fabulous chocolate cake at Paul's, we took off for the return trip. 40 minutes to go where it takes Paul 5 hours to get to. Could have been quicker but because of some transponder problems in my plane I had to detour around Vancouver airspace. I would have liked to have flown direct on the return trip to let Bruce and Andrea see Vancouver from above, it's an impressive sight.
At about 8 pm I dropped off two passengers that had HUGE grins, a camera full of pictures, and hopefully some good memories.
Thanks Bruce and Andrea for dinner and the maple syrup. I'm going to enjoy that maple syrup for months.
I got back to Nanaimo about 5 minutes before I would have needed the landing light that burned out several months ago and I've never replace because I keep forgetting about it.

Paul why doesn't your hood open all the way
It does but in the pics at the time I was only parked for 5 minutes waiting for the plane to arrive and decided to just crack it halfway open to cool it down without opening it all the way to expose it to the heating effect of direct solar rays. It also lessens the wear on the hoodstruts.
Let me know if you or anyone else is coming to Powell River and I'll treat you to a tour of the town.

Ya I was surprised it could do that with five people in the car.
You'll have to come back to the coast another time.......even a little further south to Oregon for next years Meet.

Passports are no big deal. Everyone in my family has always had one. I just renewed them all for another 5 years.
I would be more reluctant if they are putting an RFID into your forehead.
