Seriously, not joking

little background info.... pics and vids further down

A few days ago, a guy at work decided that he wanted to put a bike in the local car show today and he wanted me to detail it. It is an American Ironhorse custom / chopper. I had about six hours into it, and was almost happy with how it turned out. I could have spent a few more hours on it, but didn't have enough time. I got it done last night, he picked it up and was very very happy.

I had already made plans to go with my friend Chris ( jakhammer on here ) to this car show, so I thought it would be cool to see how the bike did. They had a portable chassis dyno there, and after a little bit of convincing..... very little bit  he threw his SVT F150 Lightening up there.

Anyways, on to some pics and vids :)

Starting the day off, leaving Chris' house, figured I would take a pic

Then took a nice little vid

Here is Chris, in his Lightening.... laid down 416 hp at the wheels, enough to take home the V8 gas engine top hp trophy for the day :beerchug:

I'm guessing it downshifted because they didn't get up enough wheel speed. Probably should have put it in 3rd.

The Bonneville did downshift on the first pull, it was his first run on a dyno, and he wasn't sure what to do. For some stupid reason, I didn't see what his numbers were though, but he has a 3.5, CAI, and exhaust.

Was a GREAT time, and the Bonneville is now a member here

just a side note, I had the second highest HP for the day and third in TQ. The HP winner was a Duramax (493hp) and both TQ above me were Duramaxs. I cant win them all I guess. However, the HP winner was a person working the dyno setup and I think he should not have been able to enter, not to mention he ran the day before when the competition was not even going!

and a side note on the burny. that was my first ever 3rd gear burnout. normally it just falls flat on its face when it hits third, but for some reason it was on the top of its game for the camera. I can do better burnies if I leave it in 2nd just shy of the rev limiter though. And I wish we would have got my rolling burnout on camera. a 20mph roll, then lit them up for some nice posi road resurfacing.

all in all, twas a good day. I have never won a trophy before... EVER!

now I must go buy some parts, I need MO POWA!

Chris

Hey everyone, I had the ssei there and I'm still not sure why it kept shifting. The first run was in 3rd but it still shifted. The numbers on that run were 256 hp and 301 ft-lbs. That was the best of the three. The second we tried in 2nd just to see if that would help the upshift problem. It still didn't work. the third we just did in OD to see what would happen. All in all it was a good first experience and it was nice meeting crash93ssei there. He was a very nice guy.

Sweet, I was hoping that you would say what the numbers were. For some reason I left before finding out :ack:
