The wheels look great, but who the heck wrote "wash me" on your hood!!! Good thing you are getting it painted. By the way, why does the hood need painted again anyways???
I am sure you will have fun doing it though

I swear the GXP wheels look good on every generation of Bonneville. Nice work, I don't think I've seen wheels that looked better honestly. also, you have the same thing going on with your black paint as I.... the swirls!

the nood needed to be painted due to a condition called "checking" the Factory paint was applied a little to thick, and after YEARS of the sun beating down on it,it got micro cracks "checks" in it (sorta like diamond plate)... when I repainted the hood the first time i thought that sanding the hood down and priming it would get rid of it... well it came back... so I sanded it smooth again nd redid it a second time.. It lasted a bit longer but they STILL came back!
so now I'll be stripping the hood, doing the body work around the new ventsto make then 100% flush, and its also very wavy around the opening from the clamping.

the swirls are Very bad right now on hte hood and fenders because i didn't care about the hood, and I dont have fender protectors for when I'm working

My 95 has that same check peeling problem. I had the roof painted about 9 months ago and it has already started to do it again. I love those wheels. I wonder how they would look in gold on my 93.

That was a classic problem on that era GM cars. My 95's fenders were badly checked. I think it was caudes by the paint drying out and contacting.

For those that haven't seen this car in person, the pics don't do it justice. It is so sweet, Peter spends most of his time wiping the drool off it.
I can't wait to see the finished hood, Pete. ONBF this year??

Every Bonneville should be riding on 18" GXP wheels.

Wow...thats just dirty

Nasty swirls on the fender tho, jees. That must be pretty disappointing to you after that paint job you did.
Wash that thing and whore it up!
