missing EVAP vacuum line?

This is only for 96-97 L67's I think.
Looking at the engine here:
Where does this line go? All I have is a fitting that goes nowhere:

You would think that it would have to go somewhere though. Why else have it otherwise?

Nope. No change in idle if I plug it either. I really just need another 96-97 L67 to know.

EDIT:
nope, mine's the exact same way. looked in my 96 FSM and the vacuum diagram doesn't show any lines/ anything going to that piece. guess it's normal then
