Can anyone give me the correct part number for the rear air shocks for a 2000 SLE? Rock Auto has different part numbers but they don't specify which is a direct replacement.

If by direct replacement you mean bolt up, with no modification needed for the air lines, the Monroe Max-Airs fit the bill, and probably most of the others do too.

The reason I ask this is because I want to replace the monroe air shocks and after market mounts with a set of GM factory replacement shocks that come with the mounts attached to try to get rid of the clunking sound that I am pretty annoyed at. See link

You could try GM parts direct to see what they have, or cross reference the GM part numbers with AC Delco. I show that the right rear shock part number is 22064809, and the left rear is 22064808.

Thanks for the reply Archon!! I am realy going to have to think about spending anymore money on shocks and mounts only to have it continue to clunk. I have purchased 2 sets of monroe shocks and two different mounts and switched from side to side only to still have the same noise coming from the left side and still sounding like it coming from the shock mount location. I can drive over hard bumps and railroad tracks at 40 and above MPH and never hear it. But drive over the same at a low speed like in town driving and you will go nuts. Guess I will just drive fast.
