Ok here are some pics I took of it. This is a frame peice that starts before the rear tire and heads rearwards on the driver side. AFAIK the spring & strut mount to this peice of frame

Any frame experts out there? Is this JY material, is it worth dropping a new sending unit & pump in and continue using it as my winter rat, or fix and sell?

Thanks for your opinions.

I would probably sell it to be honest. You could find a decent winter rat for $1000-1500 and wouldn't have to worry.

You could try to sell it, but depending on what the body looks like, you probably won't get too much for it. If it's your beater, I'd say keep it until it breaks. Then scrap it and buy something else. $1500 for a winter rat? For that kind of money, I could buy a daily driver. When I think of winter cars, I think more in the range of $500 dollars.

This was/is my winter rat. We've had this car for over 7 years now. 103kMiles to 173K miles.
I actually like this car alot.

From the perspective of being a grampa that likes to pickup his grandkids I think I'm going to just sell it. I'm not real concerned about my safety but I don't think I should be picking them up in this.

Thanks everyone.
