I'm committed!

I now have reservations at the Best Western off 9th in Corvallis arriving on July 19 and leaving on July 26.

It doesn't have the river view or the underground covered parking that the Holiday Inn express has but it was 30% less expensive.
My AAA rate averages $90/night which includes breakfast. =P~

We may end up staying a night there next month on our West Coast Bullet tour.

Gotta love the exchange rate now. :)

Hello...
I went from page 1 to page 5 then 6.
Did Wren reply? is he hosting?

Does anyone know if WDS is commiting the lanes again this year?
The PDXCGP club hasen't made any traction, I think its just beause they have new leadership and don't have the relationships with WDS.. or PIR.

My wife wants to spend a month in Oregon this summer, so the question is, should she drive her car? or fly and borrow a car? then I drive up and take them home? woes-me just what to do..?? 8-[

About racing.. I'd love to race at PIR, the sun drops and so do the temps..
Wouldn't it be fun to all run PB's all night instead of hope we don't get eliminated so we can stick around long enugh to enjoy a well prepped track. I say because WDS track doesn't get really good until 70% of the car are eliminated.. then the temps are approaching no chance for PB.. just the golden win.

Yeah.. I'd like to see the actual racing event at PIR at night..

 Yes Wren is going to host with some common sense restrictions.

Whoever is going to Corvallis first, gets to drive there and have a car until the partner flies in and they both drive home together.

Is PIR, Portland International Raceway? Haven't considered it before. Tell us more. Does their schedule fit with ours??

I love Oregon too. We're going to spend a few days there May 14-16 too. Shhhhhh! Don't tell Bill. :-$

Hmmm, looks like it could work. I plan to discuss in more detail with Bill next month using a dark brown liquid to clear our minds. :beerchug:

It's just a little further up I5 isn't it?
What about cost?

In the meantime what do the others think?

  The Flags are on order!

:bling:

There will be no choice again this year. Red ones this year in the shape of the Pontiac arrow.
First 16 Members Bonnevilles to arrive in Corvallis gets one.
:bouncingsmiles:

When I get them in a few weeks, I'll post a pic.

Any preference on Woodburn vs Portland International??

I have raced at both raceways and I prefer Woodburn myself....

The GP club is planning their BSB on the June 26th at PIR. It looks like we will be racing ourselves this year. I am going to find out if they are going to have anyone racing with us.

This may be the year we try something different for a change.

PIR takes a little longer to get there and there is not as much area to prep and set up tents on the grass (so I'm told) but it does have lights. Racing ends at Woodburn at 7pm but at least we get back to KOA before it's too late.

Unless we do Woodburn on Friday and PIR on Saturday.
