Ya they love to pump up numbers and make things sound as extreme as possible...ratings 
I drove down from St. Cloud to the cities this morning. Let about an hour earlier than usual, it wasn't terrible and took about normal amount of time. All the news stations were predicting absolute gridlock. Although it probably helped that I beat most of the idiot drivers before they could get on the road.

I took 10 the whole way down. 94 shouldn't be too bad, as warm as it is all the chemicals should be working at their prime. Just checked MN DOT cameras, 94 looks like mostly blacktop, small snow strip in the middle of each lane. 41 tomorrow! Probably gonna have to open the sunroof! Just started snowing here again though haha

Hitting us now. All doom and gloom. It started out last week as 1" - 2", then a few days later, 7+, then revised down to 3" - 4", now we're back up to 6"+...

Wish we had gotten the 3" of snow they had forecast instead of the freezing rain we got. Rained hard enough it froze uneven. Now when cars drive buy it reminds me of peanut brittle. At least if gives a little traction.

The roads were totally clear and clean. I had no issues. Just had to shovel out a spot to get back in at midnight last night after they plowed all the spots in, lol.

I hate snow! I am tired of friggin snow! I see snow in my sleep! I'm tired of constantly having to remove it! I'm actually running out of places to put it in our court at the house in Elgin (which I plow as the 3rd party contractor Elgin hires is completely inept at plowing courts).
Casa De CMNT in West Chicago (after I was done around midnight last night. Yes, it's piled as high as the fence);
There is another pile of equivalent height next to me that I've pushed up
At Casa De CMNT in Elgin (yea these are my ravines for sidewalks);
On the bright side, I have learned that putting a good winter tire on, and leaving it in 2WD, I will get awesome traction, better than that of 4WD and be able to accelerate and push snow better...

Did the front brakes on the GXP. SSEi work is officially waiting on parts shipping. Hopefully I'll start on it by the weekend since it's warming up out.
