Ah, I was envisioning a wide open flat beach with nobody on it except a few cars, having never personally been there. Would still be a lot of fun to go beach cruising, even at a snail-pace. More of a chance to enjoy the stereo rather than the go pedal, then. :beerchug:

No i think i'm the only die-hard meet attendee.
lol, well I'll likely be up for Mi in October. So I'll see them there, then you and I can continue the party 1200 miles south! :)

That's pretty awesome!

Don: which color will the currently white car end up? Going to stay white? I'm just thinking we can sand & prime the red car's body parts as they come off so they don't show any red or do the jambs on the white car with the color you want the car to be while the doors, fenders, and trim is off....so when the finished paint is put on later it doesn't look like a mix-n-match job.

Nice part about working outside in November...it should be comfortable outside.

I would like the car to remain white... we can do what ever it is we want to do... No expectations at all..

That would work great, I still have a quart of Nason pearl white (matched to the paint on mine.) I'll shoot the spoiler for mine and we can use the rest to do the backs of the panels & door frames on yours while the parts are off. That way, when you have the rest of the car painted, there will not be any red showing. We can do the damaged area on the frame after it is straightened out. This stuff hardens pretty fast, so it shouldn't slow any of the other work down.

Actually, I'd like to measure the location of the spoiler mounting holes off of your's so I can drill the trunk lid on mine as well (Gee I finally have a project to do at an SEBF :) )

Great news for me guys...my chances of attending just jumped to almost certain. Feds received my FAFSA and sent me back the results a LOT faster than expected. I'm going to the financial aid office tomorrow to hopefully set things in motion to get a loan my way. At this point it should be pretty much certain, even if I don't qualify for Stafford loans (looks like I won't) there's always unsubsidized loans which are available to everyone.

Definitely glad things are looking up and that I'll be most likely attending this year. Wouldn't want to miss out.

Generally, I have one room available at my house. I think it might already be taken though. Don's yard is big enough to tent it for anyone wishing to do so (Hell lunchboxx is bringing his camper!), and plenty of room for sleeping bags. If anyone wants lodging though, Daytona is about 40 minutes north, Port Orange about 35 minutes north, and Edgewater about 30 minutes north. To the south of us, is Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, and Vierra.

I have an inflatable bed and can also bring a nice sizeable tent for me to sleep in.

Also, loan funds are on the verge of being dispersed so yeah...I'm coming! Barring something unforseen of course.

As for which day, I don't know...depends on what's happening in my Friday class. At the latest I'll arrive sometime Friday afternoon/evening but I hope to get there Thursday afternoon.

I'm thinking about the camping out thing as well. Tent and a sleeping bag on the grass instead of driving back to Daytona.

Good that means we can toast up a few screwdrivers

Your not bringing the Ford are you? But being a Bonneville meet it would be wrong if someone didn't bring a Ford, Mike got rid of his... We'll have Buick, Pontiac, Chevy and Ford represented... And who said we only like Bonnevilles...LOL

Yay! It will be fun to turn a wrench with other people and to work on something old again. I haven't had to work on my 88 in a long time. Mom is still using it, after the engine got replaced in her century, the trannny went out. :angry7:

I wish I knew more. Then I'd be more certain about attending or not. Funds are needed for other things first this year. If I do attend, the Buick won't be with me due to time/distance. It's 1200 miles/20 hours driving from NY to FL.
