Andrew has a switch but I am going to check all the grounds first and he also mentioned checking a starter relay which I assume is identified in the owners manual fuse box diagrams?

#41 in the underhood electrical center is the starter maxi-breaker. Unfortunately, I think that's the only one like it in there, so you can't swap another around to test it.

Well.................I don't know if the Bonneville gave in or I won, but this morning I went out and cleaned all the battery/power cable contacts/connections and pulled the bolt out of the ground cable from the battery to the floor and scraped all the paint off around where the cable contacts the floor and sanded any corrosion off the bolt and put it all back together and connected the battery and.................IT STARTED!! Cleared all the codes and drove it around some today and unfortunately, the stupid SES light came back on. haven't checked the code yet, but it's back running. :beerchug: For how long is the next question..........

 I hope that does it for you. I did the same thing on my SSEi and it was great for a couple weeks or so, then became unreliable again. Haven't had any issues since changing the switch a couple years ago. Hopefully cleaning your grounds, etc. will solve your problem. If your issues come back in a few weeks, you might be in the same pattern I was...

My joy was short lived....... . Went out this morning to top off fluids as I was going to loan the car to my brother-in-law and once I topped off the fluids, I went to start it and..........nothing. *dang*. Re-checked the battery ground cable under the seat. No luck. Opened the under hood fuse box and pulled the 30amp circuit breaker for the starter and cleaned those terminals (which weren't really dirty) and put it back in. Started right up. So I don't know if it was the circuit breaker or my jiggling it out of the fuse box did something. I also split the fuse box open and checked all the contacts inside there and they were all shiny and clean. Put it back together and car still started. Found the engine ground cable finally near the fuse box (thanks to Andrew at Bonn. Unlimited) and pulled that bolt and cleaned the lug and bolt as well. Still started. So I guess I will have to wait until the next time it won't start to try and figure out the problem.
