I've got HP Tuners sitting on my desk at home, I should probably get that going so I can make a few adjustments. Not too familiar with it so will have to do some research. At least for the transmission til I make some major changes. Was reading a little about the torque management and a few other things.

I can email you my .bin file for Penny if you want the Overkill settings I have for the trans. Could also go into HPT's tune repository on their website. There's a wealth of tuning knowledge and thousands of different tunes.

Pm'd you. Thanks, any input as far as HP Tuners tuning will be greatly appreciated as well.

First things are first. Get yourself a 180* thermostat, and tune the fans accordingly. You can copy the settings from Penny's .bin when I send it over. I used this guide to tune Will's 96 SSEi a while back, along with a local's GTP.

Just as a warning though, removing all torque management is not particularly awesome for the trans. I'd copy Penny's tables for the TQ management, as thanks to Overkill's knowledge, he removed it in appropriate areas. When I had no TQ management my shifts were quite awful, it would chirp the tires on upshifts under basically any level of throttle over 20%.

Just be careful and watch your KR. You'll likely have some stock, as most L67s do. The key is patience!

Just another comment for the Lucas Stop Slip, funny you say you've had good luck with it too.... I don't have any scientific evidence that it helps, but I have always filled with 1 quart of that stuff every filter change, for all of my Bonnevilles over the years. I honestly think it served them really well. One time, I filled my green 96 without the quart of stop slip, didn't think much of it, but it did not shift as smoothly without it. I siphoned some fluid out and put stop slip in, back to normal and stayed that way for another 75K miles.

Had some time today to work on the car. Was a little cold today so we (Dad and I) spent the day in the garage working on odds and ends. Changed the fog light bulbs and got those working, while I was at it I used up the rest of my Lamin-X yellow film I had and put it on the fog lights.

Afterwards decided to get my new exhaust tips on. Love the way they look especially compared to the old and all for $16. They need a little final adjusting still.

While I was at the back of the car I pulled the air pump cover off and found a wire cut in half, fixed that and now I hear the relay clicking. The pump still doesn't kick on so going to look into it. Maybe pull the pump apart to see if its locked up?

Thanks Zuper. This is the second set I've gotten from the JY, one was a 40th Anniversary GP and this recent set came off a 04+ GP. Changes the whole look of the back, especially compared to the cheesy ones that were on there from the previous owner.

Well I've got some bad news. Today I was driving and heard a noise from the right front area. Pulled over to check it out and noticed one of my subframe bolts had snapped off, upon further inspections there are 2 more right behind this one. I don't have a lift and need a car ASAP for work (Drive a lot) so this one will be getting scrapped out. What do L67 engine/trannys go for in your area's? Just a quick glance at craigslist I spotted 2 2000+ SSEI's that might fit the bill. Definitely a bummer but this car has already paid for itself and then some with the mileage I've put on it.
