How about an AWD Impala with the XTS Vsport motor? I mean they are practically the same car right?
AWD Impala SS would be hawt. The Impala is already quite the looker and with the proper sprucing up I think it would be an awesome ride.

I've driven the XTS V-Sport. While it certainly does boogie with all the power, beyond that, the fun-to-drive factor isn't that high. It's still a boat.

We like both (wife and I), referring to the Impala and the XTS, but they'd be utilized as a "family vehicle" for her (due to the rear seat size), and she could care less about how fast it is. So I would hardly purchase either from a "sporting" perspective. She wants MPG, comfort, quiet, and no issues.

No reason for the XTS then IMO. Impala will do plenty good.

Yea, but I have champagne tastes... After having been in a couple XTS's, the Impala just seems sooo pedestrian.
After having a heated steering wheel that used to work, I've gotten a little spoiled.

I wonder it the heated steering wheels are more reliable now. That would be my favorite feature in a car.

Doubtful. This issue I would be more concerned about is parts replacement availability. That's our issue. No one makes that wheel anymore.
