Truly amazing transformation! Love the trailer comparison pics.

Plus I'm jealous that your body guy does work that good for that cheap. Almost everyone around here wants $400-500 JUST to paint my bumper. You should have seen the other estimates.

Awesome job Andrew! I'm sure this one will be sold in the upcoming weeks to another happy owner!

I'll probably have to hold onto it longer than that. It has a stamped title and must be inspected before I can get the title. I'll probably have it inspected sometime next week after Easter, and then I'm not even sure if I can expedite a salvaged title. I might have to wait 3-4 months for a title. Granted I could sell it with just a bill of sale, but that discourages most buyers.

Would never even guess that it is the same car, it looks near new.
Should turn a few bucks on that one! lol

It gets my "goat" that cost, not structural damage, determines if a car gets a salvage title. I don't think high cost cosmetic damage should make it possible for an insurance company to total a car. I do understand why it is that way, but it still gets my "goat".

Great job Andrew!

By the way, I still would like to put in my application as a long lost relatitive of yours - lmao. - BC

Wow, all of that body work for only $650??? Great price, plus it looks AWESOME!

What did he use to fix the gas door rust... metal and body filler or just filler? Not sure if they sell patch panels for that area.

I'd love to fix my rust, even if it only lasts a couple years longer.

This would be a killer skill to learn.

What's that thing he's got handing off the car? To reflect the light into the dent better?

It looks like something you'd see easily in the reflection to gauge how much you're moving the sheet metal.

The battery has been going dead on this car lately... I charge it up, and it lasts a day or two, and then its dead again. I did a parasitic draw test on it today and it was pulling 2 amps until I unpluged the IP fuse.

I did some investigating and found this:

I'll be replacing the dash assembly and wiring tomorrow.

Sold this to a young couple a few days ago for $4600. The power steering pump had begun to start going bad, so I put in a different one before selling it.
