agreed about that being the only option, and x2 for the naked part. i had originally bought a performance Magnaflow off of ebay, but it was the wrong shape, so, instead of waiting a few weeks for the NEW muffler to come in, i just had him throw on the stock F-body muffler. it really didn't matter to me, cuz if i was looking for performance i would have went with the whole cat-back option, and bought a hi-flow cat. but this will do for now. i'm going for style points right now. the next project will be a REAL head turner, even among THIS community.... haha.Bugsi wrote:Slinging the tips under the rear bumper is really the only option for us SE folks without the rear bumper cutouts that the SC'd Bonnevilles get. On extremely rare occasions, in very specific parking lots with a steep curb dip exit to a road, my tips have scraped the tiniest bit. The key is to go REALLY SLOW down such exits, at an angle if you can. A rare tiny scrape is the price we have to pay to join the dual exhaust outlet club, that's just the way it is.
After having my dual outlet Magnaflow and tips for a few years now, I think stock Bonneville SEs look naked without a pair of tips peeking out from underneath the back bumper.
Your tips look really good, and it looks like your installer did a really good job. Did you get a performance Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler, or did you get a stock or F-body (Camaro) muffler?
