Just went to check on my car. They pulled the dents out but have done absolutely nothing with the paint runs, over spray or miss matched colour. I'm pissed right
now.


Go today to see how long it's gonna be before I get my car. manager isn't there, so i talk to the guys in the detailing bay, how long they figure till its' done. Guy gets the new painter. Painter didn't know about over half the stuff I pointed out. I checked the car out, F all has been done except for the hail dents being removed. the guy said that polishing down the runs aren't gonna make them totally disappear. I said yes they will be gone because I had originally brought my car in without paint runs and no over spray. I want it done properly. I'm gonna talk to the manager again and if they still won't do it right, I'm gonna tell them that I will get a lawyer and then take the car somewhere else, where they actually care about their work and they will have to pay for it.

well i talked with the manager this morning. he basically told me the same thing the painter did. we can't do much with the runs and if we do cut them right down there won't be much clear coat on them and they will look dull and we won't warranty the work. he said all this in a pissy attitude. Basically telling me, "too bad live with it"

Couldnt you go over the managers head? Maybe the owner of the dealer or something and make sure to clarify to them that legal action can and will be taken if it is not done right

update: I phoned MPI (our insurance company) today, told them the whole story. She said, when I get the car back and I'm still not happy with the job done, to bring it in to mpi and they will do a re-evaluation for my car and then I'll take it somewhere else to get the paint job done properly since MC Naught doesn't want to do the work like professionals.

I don't get my car till 5pm Monday. The dumb ass didn't paint my bumpers till today. Said he wants to let them cure over the weekend and install them on monday so nothing happens to them.

well was supposed to get my car today. Went in at 5 to get it. Was told to talk to Gord (manager) again, he gave me the exact same excuse as he did on friday. "the bumpers aren't on it yet, I want them to dry and we still have to polish out the overspray" I left pissed off and didn't say much except, "when is it going to be ready?" he said, "tomorrow (tuesday) at 5" Lets see if they lie again. Except this time my friend Rob (who gets work on his car done all the time) has offered to come with me.

well got her back finally, friend of mine and I did a walk around. Here's what we found

on the driver front door (looks like plastic hit the wet paint then was pulled off)


Paint runs between passenger doors (still)


Paint run under rear passenger door handle



and a gouge in the rear bumper which they had hanging since friday till today so it wouldn't get damaged

Take it somewhere else and get it done right, Then tell the internet to avoid that shoddy place.

ya i phoned mpi and left a msg with my adjuster who i had spoken to last week about this crap. So hopefully i can get an appointment with them on thursday and take it in on Monday to get fixed. I need my car for at least one more Sunday night cruise night before the weather goes to crap.

I cleaned and checked out the car. Here's the list of what i found

Hood - crap in paint, 2 rippled paint spots

Right front fender - Buffer scratches

Right front pillar - 2 cases of overspray

Right Front door - buffer swirls, sags in paint, a dent in the paint, paint runs

Right Rear door - Paint runs, hazing in clear, paint run under handle

Right rear fender - 2 cases of over spray

Trunk - scratches in fresh paint, sharp edge from masking

Roof - swirls

Sun roof - scratched

Rear bumper - Ding in fresh paint, paint runs both sides

Left rear door - buffer lines

Left front door - rippled paint

Left front fender - Buffer lines, over spray
