Re: New hood scoop for the '95 project
Ok, now I need opinions.
I took all the vents from my TA hood & started installing them on the Bonny. I guess I didnt think it much, cause now Im not shure if I like it.

this is a photoshop to see the end result. (the scoop is not attached & the back grilles are not installed)

Give me opinions, should I leave them or not?

(Edit) Oh, it's your 95 SSE....
I think it looks a little Austrailian......cross breed of a couple different cars.......just doesn't look fluid or right.
I like the craftsmanship though. Talent to do anything.

You hit the nail. I knew something was bothering me, but I cluld not see it.
Some times is good to step back & let other people take a look at your work.
Its settled, they will come out, but now I have a busted hood.

Re: New hood scoop (need opinions on new additions)
It would have looked better if the large scoop up front was split like your other Pontiacs. The way it is looks like a Dodge.

I havnt touched the car in a couple of days, but the more I look at the hood, the more it grows on me. now Im thinking that I might leave it with the grills.

i wonder what it would look like if you put those vents that are on the sides, on the back of the scoop with them facing so they vent towards the windshield...know what im sayin?

Ragsdale:
I cleaned the mat I had. what I did was to spray it with Tufstuff, leave it alone for about a minut of two. then with a mix of dishwasher soap & deagreaser scrub it good. then rinse it & let dry. (the water coming out of the mat was brown
)
GoldenBullet:
I understand what you are saying, but the problem I have is that I allready cut the hood.

Re: New hood scoop (need opinions on new additions)
The only suggestion I might have to improve the looks of that Holy Hood would be to add a center splitter inside the front scoop so it looks more like a Pontiac and not like a Dodge!

Not sure I like the vents, I think the front two are a bit much. However, your imagination and execution are fantastic

I kinda like it, but the front two don't quite fit right.
