Re: Cooling
A kitchen temp probe in the ice box, to see how long it takes to warm up?

Re: Cooling
That's a good idea except for it doesn't really measure the fuel temps, especially if you mount it in the trunk of the car next to the fuel tank. Then you are only measuring the cooling capacity over a foot or less and not delivery into the engine bay with and without from the trunk to the injectors.

Re: Cooling
A box like that needs to be as close to the engine as possible to gain any effect. If it is in the trunk, the metal fuel lines as well as engine heat will probably heat it back up to where it was when it left the tank. That's why those cans are normally mounted in the engine bay on circle track cars, etc.

Re: Cooling
Youd have to redoe your fuel lines over the SC id imagine. Otherwise its just getting heated up anyways.
Re: Cooling
I agree with both. That's why the made fuel logs, for cooler fuel. And I have an Ice box, mounted in the engine bay with a heat shield between it and the engine/exhaust.

Yeah, but just saying the point was that it would warm back up again from the trunk to the engine so putting it in the engine keeps the cold better even though it is hotter in there.
