He's getting some major sticky meats (same size I have also).
245/55/16 Toyo T1R's (summer traction only, no treadwear warranty, expected to last about 10k miles).
Nice.
That should improve his 60'
Fix a flat seems to have done the trick as the Grizz tire is still good this morning.
The Grizz will be there if I have to tow it with the Bullet!
(He just has to take the N symbol off the back) - hopefully we don't have a problem at the border......
Bullet's rear is almost riding on the bump stops, we have so much water and pop....

Paul, he can't drive alone with the N? What happens if they do get you at the border?

No Bill, I just double checked with the insurance company and he is allowed to drive his car to Oregon. He just has to comply with the rules of the N designation. ie. Display the N sign, zero tolerance on drinking and driving and only one passenger that is not an immediate family member.

We won't be able to stay long. Our planned activities Saturday evening run long as it is, and with more people here this year, it'll run longer.
A small handful of us may have to make an appearance, have a drink, and go plan the awards.

But I think it would be very appropriate and worth it to spend some time with the fellow GP clubs for a bit

Just about to pre-pack the Bonne for tomorrow's 5AM departure to Fresno for the first leg of the trip.
On an even better note, Thomas says he will definitely be going. He and his family are planning to arrive on Tuesday, I think.

They will be staying at a friends house in Corvallis.

That's great that Thomas can make it. I love his car.......and he's not too bad of a mechhead either.
My car is packed and almost on the bump stops. The darn air shock level control bleeds all the air down automatically so there is only 28" from ground to fender lip.
One race tire is behind the drivers seat with the cooler on the rear passenger seat behind it.
Two cases of water with two cases of green tea on the other rear passenger floor. Two cases of pop on the rear seat behind that. Wifes suitcase on top of that. Pretty much takes up the whole interior.
Trunk is almost full too. What did I forget........

Abso-*dang*-lutely.
If we (you, me, matt, and joel) do our homework well ahead of time, we wont' delay things too much for the awards Sat night.
We're racing to beat the curfew at the KOA.
Thomas? That guy? Remember that mirror install last summer at my place? You'll see that mirror again this year.

You saying they don't have green tea, pop, or water in Oregon?

We'll go thru that the first two days before we get there.
I brought 4 chairs, a tent and a sleeping bag......for Victor, just in case.
Laura brought her scooter so she can terrorize the sidewalks of Corvallis.
Two suitcases with two dozen changes of clothes for 9 days.
I also have two full boxes of misc parts and goodies, Race Helmet, as well as the new inner fender that I'll pop on after I take off the race tires.....tire iron, cleaning products and misc. tools.
Lots of Flags.
Two cases of good Canadian beer.
A few quarts of better Canadian beer.
....then there's also the 4 gallons of Methanol.
The Race Helmet is too hot to wear all the time so the rest of the trunk is stuffed with a hat for every day cause I won't be taking it off to show off my ugly scarred head!

Up at dawn this morning. Doing the final fluid checks on both vehicles.
Air on Grizz tire is down to 22 lbs from 35 yesterday so now back up to 35. Will have to refill every 6 hours.
Put one of my Race tires in Grizz's trunk. He needs the ballast.
This time tomorrow we will be on the road.
......Bill, get those tires on order.
No, I don't think the Grizz will be racing. Do you wonder why?

Ya, cause he wants to drive it back home.
