Bob, you and I both know that family comes first. Congratulations on Bob Jr.

and good luck to those beautiful daughters and the dance competition, I am sure they will do great.
As for us, 100% count Andrew, Jessica and myself out. We will not be going at all, I will not speak for O'Neil, if he can get away he is welcome to go, but we have far too many things going on here.

Got a few things going on.
I'm hopefully moving to Spokane in a month or two so I'm not sure what my job situation will be. I may be only able to come down for a short time if getting time off is an issue. Hence why I havent reserved a campsite yet.
In addition I haven't had the time/resources to devote to Gravenge. In the case she isn't road worthy by WCBF, I'll be in the Expedition with a possibility of our 20' NASH travel trailer in tow.

Is anyone from the mid-west going?
I'm trying to plan the possibility of going to this but I'd prefer to be part of a convoy at least the majority of the distance.

Let me know what day you will be leaving Kyle and we might be able to hook up for the last 800 miles from my house at least.

I could probably meet you at Pocatello. I have yet to confirm anything yet because this is an insanely long distance for me to drive alone.

I know I'm a broken record here, but who is the closest to Illinois that is going? I will not go to WCBF if I cannot convoy with someone the majority of the trip...its too much of a risk.

If I left the 17th at 6am and stayed at a hotel that night and the 18th would I be able to get there by 9pm of the 19th?

That should be no problem. If you average 65 mph(I have averaged 81 going from Sacramento to Bountiful,UT 8 hours to go 652 miles) you should get 900 miles be for you will stop for the night. If you bump the average speed up to 71 you can go 1,000 miles in 14 hours(6 am to 8 pm). Just don't stop for food(sit down restaurant) get something to eat when you get gas and don't drink a lot of coke or coffee. Set the cruise and listen to your favorite music and enjoy the drive. I drove home to Sacramento from West Yellowstone(860 miles) with the wife and kids in the car in one day. If you can drive at night, thats what I like to do, you can go to bed early on the 16th(have the car packed and ready to go) and get up and hit the road at 2 or 3am you could get in 1200 miles before the day is done.

I would think so. Mapquest estimates it at 32 hours or so. If you end up running late, Keven and I will be starting our convoy out of Boise early on the 20th (we're about 8 hours from Albany/Corvallis).
Don't speed in Oregon - not worth it. OR speed limit is 65 on the interstate. Also, don't try to pump your own gas in OR -- state law you have to have an attendant do it for you.
Also, for anyone driving through Idaho: yet ANOTHER summer of construction on I-84 around Boise. High fines for speeding in construction areas.

Everyone is leaving Sunday right? Or Monday morning?
If I left Monday morning I project I might be able to get home by Wednesday. Possible?
