That's how we did the first couple of Meets. Took the whole family and spent another week exploring the Oregon Coast. Very nice driving down 101 along the ocean.

Next year I plan to do a LOT of driving!

I don't plan on going anywhere next year, my car will probably be in a couple thousand pieces.

Just got off the phone with the KOA....... I'm now registered in site 37.

Now to get my truck back and fixed up.

I would like to try and make it up there aswell for my first time, Also could anyone PM me some more info the excat location and any close by hotels and what.and if theres certin things i would need to know.

Sun. July 19 - Early arrivals, fun and mods at Bill's

Mon. July 20 - Some arrivals, shopping, Tints, mods, tour of Corvallis and Pizza & Beer or Soda at Bills after black striping the road in front of his apartment.

Tues. July 21 - Morning Golf, Hotel check-ins. Clean up. Afternoon Tuning and Mods, Corvallis touring & arrivals at KOA, Chinese food. Discussions at Bill's.

Wed. July 22 - 10:am Tour to the Coast......Rogue Beer run and Moes for Clam Chowder or Weanies. Put on the Race tires, Pour in the Rocket Fuel. back to KOA for Fun - Dinner anywhere but Manchurian Grill. Full Throttle Ramp Run video shoot, KOA Testing and tuning .. ... . Campfire discussions.

Thursday July 23 - Testing and tuning at Bill's. Arby's/Wendy's dinner. Road testing and final tweek mods. ...........Back to KOA for campfire discussions.

Friday July 24 - Egg McMuffin morning, and final Mod morning.... then Ready for Test and Tune at Woodburn Drag Track - Quiznos for lunch at noon. Convoy Leaves KOA at 1:30pm sharp. Drag races - 3:pm - 7:pm. ....dinner at McDonald's @ 7:30pm.........back to KOA by 9:30pm and bed by 10:pm for big day tomorrow.

Saturday July 25 - Woodburn Chevy Showdown Show'n Shine Swap Meet & Drags Woodburn 100 WCBF09 convoy leaves KOA at 6:00 a.m. sharp.
8:am-6:pm followed by our traditional Flagged Bonneville/GP group photo shoot at Woodburn Dragstrip, and 10 Pizza's to go dinner . ...back to KOA by 9:pm for WCBF08 awards and party till the engine blocks are cold.

Sunday July 26 - Mass for some. Group discussions and picture/video swap at Bill's. Some will leave.
Coffee Day or hair of the dog.

Monday July 27 - Most will leave cruising home to post pics of the best time they ever had with memories to last a lifetime.


There is an inexpensive Motel 6 ($60/night) with free internet close to Bill's apartment on 9th right next to a Best Western ($110/night). Book early!

Yeah, that is done, but I posted that, so it isn't really up my sleeve. Something else

Vacation time was put in two weeks ago for this one. July is one busy month for me, I have a wedding to go to, the drive there is almost longer than it is for me to go to Oregon. Might take the GTP on that one, split the mileage up a bit. My fingers and toes are crossed that it gets approved.

That's the cool thing about being my own boss. Don't have to ask anyone else for permission to leave work. Although if I don't work, I don't get paid . Awwww, it's worth it though .

Long overdue to bring everyone up to speed on my attendence for WCBF '09. Been a hectic year, and it looks like it is only going to get more crazy.

Big news is, there is a Bob Jr. (or whatever name is decided) due mid-June

Even more challnging, my daughters are competing in a National dance competition in Anaheim July 15th-19th.

So, although it looks bleak for me to make it, I am holding out hope that somehow, I get to make a run for the Oregon border. Maybe leave AZ on Tuesday night the 21st (caravaning with Thomas, of course) and just drive....catch a nap on Wednesday at some point during the day and cruise on in to the KOA that night. If I was smart, I'd just take the B-ville to Anaheim...put the family on a plane back to AZ, then just head North on the 19th from southern Cal. (problem is the B-ville only seats 5 and NOW I need room for 6 )

If there is anyway possible, I WILL make it, even if I have to shorten my time at WCBF. I have been thinking about it and I just can't imagine not being there. I would feel very empty and my summer would feel incomplete. I'll know more once we sort out this Anaheim trip that occurs the weekend before WCBF.
