Be sure to lube the caliper slides. Make sure they move freely. You should be able to move them by hand.

well, 99% sure i have a bad tire. moved it to the back, and it's much better.

supposedly it was out of spec... they replaced it, and the vibrations did get better, but there is still a little something there. I don't think it was there when i bought the car, but maybe i'm getting anal now
I have now owned 10 Triple tread tires in 6,000 miles. that's gotta be a record!
(4 originals, one blew out so i replaced them with 4 new ones = 8)
then 1 more blowout, and this bad tire. ugh.
Also, i marked your reply as solving this, because it was the only one i could click

Have you replaced the rotors yet? Maybe that will clear up the rest of it. Glad you got it fixed

Glad you solved part of it, vibrations are VERY annoying.

if the tire place you go to doesn't have a road force capable balancer i would definalty look into finding a shop that did that machine can help you find the optimal mounting position for the tire vs the rim and also tell you if your rim is bad or the tire is bad or both.

they do have one, that is how they figured out the tire was out of spec. they won't do it for free though, the normal balancing are free since i got the tires from them.

My boss had 4 new Triple Tred tires installed on his '06 Caravan and had to deal with wheel vibrations for 5 weeks. He had them checked out. After numerous rotations and balancing, the tire shop concluded that the tires were out-of-round. He ended up exchanging them for a different tire at no cost.

No issues here with triple treds after almost 3k and a rotation.

if you have original equipment firestones, i suggest NOT replacing them with the same. i had the 'bad vibes' from about 65-72 mph with replacement firestones that ended up being shifted belts in three (3!) brand new Affinity's
(i think, its been awile) within 5000 miles. i've nothing but good to say about the Bridgestone potenza 009's, & am on my 2nd set with no vibe issues if i keep them balanced every 5-6 k miles. hth's.
