Others have already said this, but my bet would also be for the TPS as the likely cause.
Yes, you can replace it without removing the throttle body.
I've found that removing the EGR valve and pipe on my '93 helped a bit in gaining access to the mounting screws, but it's still a bit difficult to get to them...and if you didn't already know this, you don't want to attempt to replace the TPS while the engine is warm or hot, or you may burn yourself.

Like I said before, you can loosen the two screws with a pair of vicegrips and then the screws should turn out by hand. That worked for me.

The screws holding the TPS weren't even close to coming out. I ended up removing the throttle body to get at the screws holding the TPS. With the throttle body in hand, I snapped one screw off and the other is nearly stripped it is lodged so tight. The screws holding the IAC were removed without issue. I will have to make a run to the mom and pop garage this morning to see if they will drill them out and possibly tap them.

I have the throttle body cleaned and it is patiently drying.

This is what I am currently looking at (yes, my engine bay is a greasy dirty mess ). Should I give the chamber some carb cleaner or let it be?

Good "God's Country!" Screw was so frozen that it snapped off(?)! Being "upside down" and all, it would be easy to turn them the wrong direction and do that. No insult intended. I'm just adding that for other readers who are considering this procedure.
If cleaning the TB, use only MAF cleaner on the MAF sensor so as not to screw it up. That can be a costly mistake. But if your MAF has never been cleaned, you might be surprised at the increase in performance.

Hmmmm... your 93 must be a different vintage than mine. My IAC is a screw in one like this

The TPS is replaced and now my Bonnevizzle is patiently waiting to hit the road.

I can never get a seal with the paper thermostat gaskets, so I use silicone gasket sealant. It says to wait 24 hours for the silicone to cure. I did start it for a second just to make sure she still runs. All is good so far.

Thanks for the help and the TechInfo section...I couldn't have done it without the assistance.

The IAC on my Bonnevizzle has two plastic wings with a small bolt going into each just like the TPS.
