So I noticed that my carriage bushing weren't as tight (being stock most likely), so I tightened them up with 18mm and long half inch ratchet. And the slight vibration has seemed to go away. After all new front suspension parts, rear shocks, and new tires, the car drives like almost brand new. No car payment! But my insurance has gone up from 128$ a month to 138$ a month via progressive. It was lowered to 98$ for one month (july I believe) bc of the Covid, and after that has gone up. Idk if its BC of the cars age or what. But I always thought it was on the expensive side anyways. I had an 91 maximal with 1 air bag and roll up n down seat belts that had cheaper insurance. Anyone else goin through this due to Covid?

progressive is a facility broker: they like high risk drivers/cars so they can charge high rates : you gotta be like a shark and keep moving - try Aviva if you dont plan on ever making a claim. the reviews say they are very tight.

I have a question about my rear trunk reflector. It's been busted out since I've owned the car. If I remove it, does it look decent? I've thought about either putting silicone in the holes that hold it in, or even bondo and paint. What are my options here if any, I do not want to purchase a new one!

Repaired my glove box with JB weld, as much as I didnt want too. And the trunk lid, I'm thinking about taking it off and wrapping in vinyl balc a few times, and seeing how it looks. I cannot figure out how to post pictures on here though

UPDATE! 9-19-20 A college girl pulled into my lane trying to cross 3 lanes of traffic. And side swiped my green machine. Both passenger side doors open, windows go down, ect. Front right quarter panel is destroyed and my side view mirror was knocked off. Also have a small dent in the rear right quarter panel on the line where the bumper meets. Florida is a no fault state and her insurance company USAA is not goin to repair it. I have no collision coverage either. Anybody have some already dark green body parts for the cheap? Or maybe a donor car for a decent price. If not, I maybe willing to sell mine for cheap. Even with all the cash and new parts under lifetime warranty i have. Thanks all!

if its no fault, they will try to give you a runaround.

look into the insurance laws in your state. keep at them. if you have to, pursue a civil suit: was she charged?

if they dont want to repair, you get the book value for the car.but they may want to keep the car

So, after 3 weeks of fighting with USAA they finally decided to take blame. And now I have to bring my car for an estimate. It needs both door skins and rear quarter panel. Hopefully they repair it, but if they decide to buy it from me, I wont feel any remorse. The car done its job for me for almost 3 years. But still has many more years on the road if they can make it look like new again
