That's good to hear, we sell a couple of those timing sets a week, usually for the SRX, Acadia, enclave and once for a camaro.

Hahahahahahahaha!

As the Saab story continues...

I have had my first potential buyer contact me. Going to look at the car on Saturday.

But as my FB friends already know, the Saab is throwing yet another fit. The ignition switch isn't turning off all the way when you shut the car off. You pull the key out and the cylinder doesn't pop up, making the car think the key is still in the ignition, so the retained accessory power stays on and you can't lock the car and it beeps at you like the key is still in the ignition!

So I have to fix that today if I want any shot at selling the car this weekend. ugh.

At least it's a super common failure and fairly easy to fix. I'm headed off to the junkyard to hopefully pull a new lock cylinder and I'm going to swap the tumblers over. Yet another $300 part that I'd have to wait 6 weeks to get new.

I was able to clean up the ignition tumbler and didn't need to replace any parts. Years of dirt had gunked up the mechanism causing it to stick. So, barring any surprises, this car is ready to go and no more worrying about it!
