The issue I had with trying to buy a truck from them was that they would not order it for me. When I went there and found they did not have anything I wanted on their lot I sat down with the salesman and we option the truck how I wanted. He went to his manager to see about ordering it for me, the manager refused. The excuse he gave was that he didn't want to get stuck with a truck if I didn't follow through with the purchase.CMNTMXR57 wrote:Right now... I despise you.
P.S. the fog light delete, no matter how bright those LED's are is one of the changes for '16 I despise too.
P.S.S. I get your point about not doing business with this dealer in the future because of your past experience, but do you think they really care? They aren't going to go out of business because you won't deal with them.
We'd get *shoot* like this all the time too. If we could get it via a dealer transfer, we would. If not, sorry. Some people think that all dealers are open to swaps. A lot of time, yes but many times they're not. They aren't about to give up an SS if all you have to give them in return is a few Malibu's (for example). Dealerships are independent owned, with their own inventory purchased out of their own bank account. They aren't a GM franchise. As such, if I'm holding a hot commodity, I better get a hot commodity in return.
In the end it worked out better for me. I saved a lot of money finding it myself. The dealer in Ohio had it on their lot for 10 months and it was a model year left over. GM was running two extra incentive in the DC area that I qualified for. I ended up getting 13,000 under MSRP.
My issue with them this second purchase is because I was up front with them from the first phone call. They said they had no issue swapping with another dealer to get me the car I wanted. I was speaking with the floor manager at this point. He even said they have a car and two drivers they use to get the trades they make with the other dealer. After getting there and speaking with him, I could see he had no interest getting a car for me. He was trying to make me a deal on his car.
