Michigan Summer meet 2016

We will be about an hour south of where the 3800 meet is happening. It's pretty much a big party with cars and always a good time. The more the merrier!

Due to the long distance drive I would prefer the all in one meet. Majority will rule here but that is my vote. There are alot of assholes at the 3800 gathering but there are also alot of neat things and good people to see there as well in my opinion. With this year’s location change it sounds like there will be a surplus of space and we won't have to get parked in for 8 hours. Sounds like there will be a few more platforms to see as well. Also the drive to and from the gathering from Ryan's house 2 years ago was probably the most fun drive of my life. Last year was good too but construction threw a loop in things, the way back was better and we got a very cool group picture. The track trip was cool too and I regret not running last year but probably would this year if we go again. Either way I need to make a trip out to get my chair back

Well yes....but the rolling camper would be nice too. That would require me to install the rain guards.

They're a small step above 97-03 GTP seats, which are like leather stapled to a park bench. Lol. But no, no way I could sleep in a TA again. Six years ago, sure.

The parking lot at this place is huge, probably 10 times bigger than the old place.

The day is fast approaching!

I've been working on the 2016 meet coin. This side of the coin is going to remain mostly unchanged from last year:


But the other side is what I'm working on for this year. This is the time for suggestions!


I need to talk to Wes for this years meet, last year he came through and did a lot of work for the coin casting to happen. I hope to make some improvement with the furnace and melt/pour technique this year based on what we learned from last year. This year I'd like to also have more things ready ahead of time, last year we were still building the furnace and testing things out for the first time while the meet was going on.

Depending on how busy my shop is this summer I'd really like to make this meet. Considering neither of my cars are 3800s nor are they very interesting, I'd probably ride along with someone from my area if anyone's game for that...
