Yeah I'm in Northwest Indiana. The law allows up to 20 or 30% I forget and the windshield can only go down a couple inches when I got my 5% in the Explorer I had to sign a waiver. I was once pulled ober twice in the same hour between 2 neighboring towns. I also always had to roll my windows down to back up. I've heard of people getting scripts for tint I could probably get one considering my eyes are so bad.

My brother lived in north east Indiana for a couple years. He had a Monte SS with 5% all around, including full windshield. Couldn't see in OR out of the *dang* thing!! But he never got stopped for it... I've had tinted cars for years, I just upgrade the back up lights or install a camera and can back up fine with the tint. I've also had Rx's as long as I can remember. In MI they're usually good for 3 years and then you've got to get a new letter. MI law states you can only have a strip of tint on the sides and windshield so I would think that since IN allows tint on the side windows, a Rx would be available...
