Nothing new to report. The only time spent on cars has been routine maintenance, and repairs unfortunately. I have two vehicles currently ahead of the Sonoma in priority that I have kept on the back burner. The main kicker for this project is that I cant fit a car seat into this truck, and my wife got a job that is roughly the same hours that I work. Which means we both need a vehicle to pick up, or drop off our little one at daycare. That being said we picked up another vehicle that can not only fit a car seat more safely, but also all of us, including the dogs for road trips.
Truthfully, I have been back and forth on wanting to do this swap with the truck I have considering the amount of rust, and lack of features. Be nice to at least find one with a tilt wheel. The wife wants to do a turbo version of this drivetrain into a Jeep for a more fun project which sounds like an awesome idea, but I am leaning towards finding a donor body with less rust and sticking to the daily driver mo once our youngest is out of a car seat.
